a) Go to Xtranormal and click on "Sign Up" found on the top right hand corner of the home page.
b) Fill out the required information and then click on "Sign Up"
2) Create a Movie
(If at any point you can not finish the movie, just click "Take 5" and the web site will save your movie as is until the next time you are ready to work on it.)
a) Click on "Make Movies" located at the top left of the home page.
b) Select the world and amount of actors in that world that you would like to use for you movie. You can accomplish this by selecting either the "1 Actor"
or "2 Actors" of the World that you would like to use.This will bring you to the Make a Movie Workstation.
c) Type the script. If you are using two actors: After you are finished typing the line of the first actor, click the plus button at the bottom right of the text
box. This will open up a new text box, in which you write the line of the second character. Hitting the plus sign again will bring you back to the first
character. Repeat this step until the entire dialog has been assigned to the two characters.
3) Design the Scene
a) Click on the "Background Tab" located all th way to the left in the Design the Scene menu. Select which background scene best fits your vision, and
then click "Apply". (It will not appear on your movie until later on in the process.)
b) Next, click on the "Music Tab" which has the 16th notes on it. You may now apply background music, as well as ambiance to your movie. Just select
from the drop down menu in either category, as well as preview it by hitting the play button once it has been selected. If you like, you do not have to
select either. Then click "Apply".
c) Next, click on the "Actor 1" (the avatar on the left) and choose what you would like him/her to look like. Then "Give Your Character a Voice" by
selecting one in the target language from the drop down menu. Then click "Apply".
d) Next, click on the "Actor 2" (the avatar on the right) and choose what you would like him/her to look like. Then "Give Your Character a Voice" by
selecting one in the target language from the drop down menu. Then click "Apply".
4) Direct the Action
a) Click and drag the Cameralogo onto the dialog. This will then allow you to select the camera angle for this part of the scene. You can change the
camera angles as many, or as few times as you like. Just Click and Drag the Camera logo onto the dialog wherever you want the camera angle to
change and then select the new angle.
b) The same idea applies to the rest of the options in Direct the Action. (Animations, Expressions, Looks, Points, Pauses, and Sounds) Click and
Drag any of the options to any part of your dialog that you deem appropriate to bring your movie to life!
5) Click Action!
a) Click "Action" and the web site will process and create your movie. Once it has been compiled you will be able to preview it by pressing the "Play"
button on the movie itself.
b) Edit and change your movie by using any of the aforementioned tools. NOTE: Whenever you make a change YOU MUST CLICK THE "ACTION"
BUTTON AGAIN FOR THE CHANGES TO TAKE AFFECT!!!
6) Click "It's a Wrap"
a) Once you have finalized your movie and are happy with everything click the "It's a Wrap" button.
b) You will then be prompted to "Publish" the movie by assigning it a TITLE, a DESCRIPTION, and the CONTENT RATING. Then click "Publish".
7) Congratulations! You did it!
You can now access your movies under the "My Movies" tab at the top of the screen, as long as you are signed in!
